Wear something comfortable! Don't worry about what pants you wear- we can always cover you up with a blanket if we will have any shots with legs, but it does not happen often. 

I will bring a cardigan for you to wear (if you want it), so you don't have to put too much thought into what you should wear if you don't want to! 

This is 100% up to YOU! We can do "naked" pictures with baby just wearing a diaper. Or you can have a cute outfit for baby to wear. But make sure I can get to those fingers and toes! We can also swaddle baby in a wrap- it is whatever YOU want to do.

Your comfort and baby's comfort/happiness are TOP priorities. If you need a minute to yourself, baby needs to eat, ect, I will step out into the hall to give you your privacy. No problems! 

I was a nursing mom- so if you are interested in breastfeeding photos, I am more than happy to help you capture those special moments! But again, your comfort is my top priority. 

I will move the baby's bassinet to a spot close to the window and will take time to photograph the details of  your newborn in the bassinet: hair, nose, fingers, toes, ect. This is a "lifestyle photoshoot, so I will not do any "posing" with the baby. I will simply let your baby be a baby- and let him/her  lead the way. Parents may be asked to let baby hold their finger, or to hold baby's feet (see below).

Next, we will do pictures of parents holding the baby.  If parents do not wish to have their faces in the pictures (I get it- you just had a baby. Who has time to shower?), only their chest/hands will be photographed.These pictures will be taken near the window.

Sibling pictures can be done next, and will likely be done in the chair or with baby in the bassinet and siblings standing around it.

It's a small room, and you have a lot of stuff. It WILL be messy. An that is Ok! I will need a small tidy spot near the window, and that is it! Don't worry about what the rest of the room looks like! Most photos are up close and personal, so you don't see much of the background anyway. 

I totally get it. If you don't want your face in the pictures, we can do just from your chin- down. That way you get some photos of you holding baby, but you don't have to be "camera ready."
